Questions people actually ask

If your question is not here, message us. A person answers, usually the same day.

Is it really free to browse?

Yes. Searching, saving and messaging an agent cost nothing, and always will. You only pay if you ask us to come with you to a viewing, or when a deal closes.

What does an accompanied inspection cost?

₦10,000, plus whatever the agent charges to show that particular property — which is written on the listing before you contact anybody. You pay one combined price to us, and if the agent does not turn up you get all of it back, including our share.

An agent is asking me for money at the gate. Is that normal?

Only if the amount is written on the listing. Agents in Nigeria do charge to show a property and that is fine — but on Acreage it has to be declared up front. If somebody asks you for anything that is not on the listing, do not pay it. Report the listing instead; you will not be in trouble for it, and it is the fastest way an agent loses their account.

How do I know a listing is real?

Every one carries a verification report: the date one of our team visited, the first name of the person who went, the five checks they made, and the photographs they took while standing there. Those are our photographs, not the agent's.

What do you check before a listing goes live?

Five things, on site: that the agent is authorised to let or sell it, that the photographs are of that property, that the address is real and walked, that water and power are as described — or on land, the boundaries and the title document — and that it is not a duplicate of an existing listing.

Why do you need my NIN or BVN?

Only before money or a meeting — requesting an accompanied inspection, or confirming a deal. Browsing, saving and messaging need nothing. We send the number to the identity service, keep the answer, and discard the number itself.

What do you charge agents?

Nothing to join and nothing to list. 5% of the total the buyer pays, only when a deal actually closes through us. No advert packages, no paying to be seen.

How long before my listing goes live?

As long as it takes somebody to get there and back. That delay is the product — it is why a buyer trusts your listing over the same property on a free site.

Can I list land, shops or offices?

Yes — houses, shops, offices, warehouses and land. Land is checked differently: the plot is walked to its corners and the title document is sighted against your verified name, with family land and excisions getting extra scrutiny. We are not your lawyer and we do not adjudicate title, but nobody buys sight unseen.

Someone paid for a viewing and I could not make it. What happens?

The buyer is refunded in full, you are paid nothing, and it is recorded against your account. Tell us in advance if you cannot make it and we will move it — a missed appointment nobody warned us about is the version that counts against you.

My account was suspended. What now?

You can still sign in and read exactly why, and you can appeal from inside the app. A person reads every appeal, and being able to appeal is the reason we do not lock people out.

Where do you cover?

The Federal Capital Territory, expanding state by state. We only open an area when we have somebody who can physically get to a property there — an area we cannot reach would produce listings that can never go live.

Still stuck?

Message the team from inside the app. It reaches the same people who run the verification desk, and the answer comes back in your notifications — never by someone asking you to continue on WhatsApp.
